From Trash to Art: 'Simply Green' Exhibit Opens Monday

Bucks County Community College's exhibit will feature dozens of pieces of art made from recycled material at an exhibit that opens Monday.

Art made from recycled materials will be showcased starting Monday at Bucks County Community College.

“Simply Green” will open Monday and be displayed through April 7 at The Gallery at the college's Lower Bucks Campus.

The exhibit features dozens of pieces of art, each made from recycled material or which promote some element of sustainability or environmental concern. Work by local artists from Artists of Bristol on the Delaware, Artists of Yardley, ARTSBRIDGE, and the New Hope Art League are included in the exhibit.

There will be an opening reception April 11, with guest speaker John Ennis, who will speak on “Painting the Human Figure.” That event begins at 6 p.m.

Admission is free.  The Lower Bucks Campus is located at 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa., 19007. The Gallery is open Monday through Saturday during regular campus hours.
