Explore Lenape Cooking at the Mercer on Friday

The family-friendly program will run from noon to 4 p.m.

The Mercer Museum will celebrate the day after Thanksgiving with the program “Lenape Cooking” on Friday, November 25.

On Black Friday, the Mercer will celebrate Native American Heritage Month with culinary historian Susan Plaisted.

Plaisted will explore the culture and the foodways of the Lenape. Visitors will learn about the "three sisters" of the Lenape diet (corn, beans and squash) and are invited to help with the food preparation. This family-friendly program takes place in the museum’s Log House from noon-4 p.m. and is included with museum admission.

The Mercer Museum will be open regular hours on Black Friday, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Mercer Museum's first exhibit in its new exhibition gallery, "A World of Things: The Mercer Museum A-Z" closes on Sunday, November 27. New exhibits, "ToyTime," an exhibition of life-size folk toys and "Under the Tree: A Century of Holiday Toys," open on December 17.

The Mercer Museum is located at 84 South Pine Street in Doylestown. For more information, call 215-345-0210 or visit www.mercermuseum.org.
