SPECTRUM HEALTH CONSULTING presents BITTER SEEDS

Bitter Seeds is a powerful, eye-opening film that exposes the effects of Monsanto’s greed on Indian farmers. While the stories that encompass the film are truly tragic, Manjusha, the 18-year-old aspiring journalist the film follows, brings out a sense of hope. Her story and motivation inspires the audience to ask why and how such a thing could happen.

Biotechnology is changing the way farming is done all over the world. Advocates believe the “New Green Revolution” is the only way to provide sufficient food for the world's growing population while opponents raise environmental concerns and fear that GMOs drive small-scale farmers off the land. Bitter Seeds explores the controversy — from a village in India that uses genetically modified seeds to U.S. government agencies that promote them.

Come at 6pm to network and get to know your local food resources and providers.

The program will start at 6:30 with Q & A following the movie.
