Assault

Officers are investigating the report of an assault that occurred in the area of S. Main Street and E. Oakland Avenue on Friday, May 20 at approximately 2:16 AM.

Witnesses report that a male driving a dark color Audi was driving south on Main Street and screamed at the victim and his group of friends. The victim allegedly screamed back at the driver as he turned onto Oakland Avenue.

The suspect exited his vehicle and approached the victim’s group. A verbal altercation allegedly ensued. The suspect then allegedly struck the victim on the left side of his face, knocking him to the ground.

The victim was transported to Abington Hospital for evaluation and treatment of fractured facial, ocular, and maxillary bones.

The suspect is described as mid-20’s, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, having curly brown hair and long side burns, last seen wearing a small golf style hat.

Criminal Mischief

Graffiti was observed on the side of an E. Oakland Avenue office building on Thursday, May 19 at approximately 12:10 p.m.

The graffiti consisted of a circle divided into quarters with the letters w, b, u, and o in separate sections. The words “stay out” were also spray-painted in black paint.

Driving Under the Influence

Sharon Cantwell, 50, Sergeantsville Road, Stockton, NJ, was arrested on Friday, May 20 at approximately 1:29 AM after she was observed driving her vehicle above the posted speed limit on E. State Street in the area of Boro Mill Hill Road.

During the traffic stop, Cantwell was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Cantwell was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Public Drunkenness

Jeffrey Gayman, 22, Gayman Road, Doylestown, was cited on Friday, May 20 at approximately 3:16 AM after he was observed sleeping in the street at the intersection of Union Street and Shewell Avenue.

Criminal Mischief

The window of Talbot’s was damaged sometime between 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 19 and 10:00 AM on Friday, May 20.

The pane had a small hole with spider-web type cracking extending out from the impact point.

No estimate for the damage has been reported.

Drug Violations

Two 16-year old males, both of Doylestown, were arrested on Friday, May 20 at approximately 7:30 PM after they were found in possession of two small bags of marijuana and a glass pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana.

The incident occurred in the area of the American Legion building on North Street.

Driving Under the Influence

Paul Carman, 40, Main Street, Doylestown, was arrested on Friday, May 20 at approximately 8:31 PM after the vehicle he was driving nearly struck a police vehicle that was parked in a S. Main Street apartment complex.

During the traffic stop, Carman was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication.

Carman was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Theft

An employee at Mesquito Grille had his bicycle stolen from the rear of the building on Saturday, May 21 between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

The bike is described as a red Diamondback Viper stunt bike with a tear in the seat.

The bike is valued at approximately $250.

Theft

 A representative from 7-11 reported that a male attempted to steal a Kit Kat bar valued at $1.29 on Saturday, May 21 at approximately 11:45 AM.

The male is described as being approximately 6’ tall with scruffy facial hair and dark, thick-framed eyeglasses. He was last seen wearing a black Jack Daniels t-shirt and a red Phillies baseball cap.

Theft

A representative from the Chelsea Shop reported that a young female removed a silver ring with a large turquoise stone from the store on Saturday, May 21 at approximately 11:30 AM.

The female is described as approximately 15 years old, approximately 5’5” tall, with long dark hair. She was last seen carrying a brown leather bag with long shoulder strap.

The ring is valued at $28.

Driving Under the Influence

Brittany Reed, 22, Rebecca Fell Drive, Doylestown, was arrested on Sunday, May 22 at approximately 3:48 AM after she was observed driving through a steady red signal at the intersection of Main and State Streets.

During the traffic stop, she was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which were marginal.

Reed was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Criminal Mischief

Several sections of brickwork in Chapman Park were noted to have graffiti spray-painted on them on Monday, May 23 at approximately 8:35 AM.

Graffiti consisted of non-descript letters in blue, black, and white paint.
