CB Grad Eliminated from MasterChef

Bri Kozior, a Doylestown native, was eliminated from the cooking competition during Wednesday's episode.

Doylestown is no longer represented on FOX’s MasterChef.

Bri Kozior, 2008 Central Bucks East graduate, made it to the top nine on the primetime cooking competition but was eliminated during Wednesday’s episode. The show showcases the talents of home cooks nationwide.

“The only thing harder than having to go through it is having to re-live it. Thank you all for believing in me regardless and for consistently cheering me on! I am proud to have left with my head held high. Happy to look back and see how far I've come since then; grateful for where it's taken me and excited to see where I'm going,” Kozior said on her official Facebook page.

Kozior, who spoke with Patch last month when the fourth season began airing, is a vegetarian but managed to continually impress the judges with her ability to prepare meat.

A theater assistant by trade, Kozior said she auditioned for the show on a whim after encouragement from friends. “I took a big chance,” she said. She was selected as one of the top 100 cooks and auditioned in front of the celebrity judges.

Just 19 out of those 100 finalists made it through to be featured on the show, which was taped in Los Angeles.

MasterChef airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on FOX.
