The Dead Will Speak This Week in Doylestown
Learn about the lives of the Doylestownians who lived - and died - here, and helped make Doylestown the town it is today.
Kathleen Landis, administrator of the Doylestown Cemetery, knows an awful lot about the town's past.
This week, she will share some of those stories in a program at the Doylestown Historical Society.
In "10,000 Lives - A history of Doylestown Cemetery" Landis will recount details of just a sampling of the more than 11,000 people who have been laid to rest in the cemetery on East Court Street.

They include Civil War General and prominent Doylestown civic leader W. W. H. Davis; Burpee Seed Company founder and president W. Atlee Burpee; and world explorer and adventurer William Edgar Geil, the first Westener to traverse and document the Great Wall of China.
Landis' talk is the first educational presentation of 2012 at the 's Barn Gallery.
