Rep. Marguerite Quinn (R-Bucks) will host her annual Senior Expo on Sept. 27. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Bucks Senior Center, 700 Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown.
Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging Brian Duke, a Bucks County native, will provide an overview of the State Plan on Aging. Duke will also speak about the Alzheimer’s Disease State Planning Committee, which is working to develop a long-range strategy to care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and help support their families and caregivers.
“This event gives seniors the opportunity to learn about resources and programs provided by not only the state and federal government but local nonprofit and community groups in our area,” said Quinn.
The event is free and will also include exhibitors, lunch and various health screenings. Attendees should bring unused or expired medications for safe disposal by The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania Inc. and Doylestown Township Police.
