Rods and Reels Needed for Kids Fishing

Doylestown's Kids Fishing program is looking for donations of fishing poles for the upcoming fishing day at the borough dam.

Old fishing poles that have been cluttering up the garage, basement or attic can be put to good use for kids in Doylestown.

The Friends of The Borough Dam, which organizes the borough's Kids Fish Doylestown program, are seeking donations of old rods and reels.

Items may be dropped off at Mt. Lake Pool & Patio in the Doylestown Shopping Center or at Dave’s Sports Center on Route 611 in Plumsteadville.

Dave’s Sports Center will retrofit any donated rods and reels in preparation for the spring fishing day. The equipment then will be distributed to children who might need one to participate in the first day of fishing at the borough dam. These donations are greatly appreciated.

Financial donations are also needed to keep the entire fishing project going. Checks may be made payable to Friends of the Borough Dam, 57 West Court Street, Doylestown, PA, 18901.
