Reminder: Mt. Carmel to Host Haiti Presentation
Two speakers on Monday night will discuss the parish's missions to Haiti.
On Monday, Dec. 3, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish in Doylestown will host two speakers from two different parish missions to Haiti that nevertheless share a common focus.
Tom Kardish and other members of Mt. Carmel’s Haiti Medical Mission will give a presentation on their work with the youth of Haiti in the areas of health and education, covering the progress the mission has made in its first four years and the goals that still lie ahead.
And parishioner Jim Reichwein will give a presentation on the first year of a new ministry to Haiti – shooting hoops.

Reichwein and his son Cal went to Haiti this past summer to help rebuild and restore, but also to teach basketball. Before they left Doylestown, they collected basketball shoes in various sizes to give to the kids at the Mission of Hope Orphanage, whom they also coached in the fundamentals of the game.
Mt. Carmel has established a relationship with the people of Haiti, a relationship that continues to flower in unexpected ways. The Peace & Justice Committee is proud to welcome two groups of witness to its growth. St. Mary’s Hall, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Monday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m.
