Kids Castle Urges Donors on 'Giving Tuesday'

A new movement aims to convince shoppers to direct some of their money somewhere else.

 

Today's a new day for people who've shopped their way through Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.

Welcome to Giving Tuesday, a growing movement aimed at getting consumers to stop consuming for a minute and redirect a portion of their spending to their favorite charity.

Locally, the Save Kids' Castle committee encourages donors to help the group meet a Dec. 31 deadline.

If the committee raises $25,000 by that date, the matching gift.

The group is trying to raise about $750,000 to replace dated and worn equipment at the iconic playground in Doylestown Township's Central Park.
