Heat Index Could Hit 100 Wednesday

Hot, humid weather continues to prevail across southeastern Pennsylvania and strong storms could develop Wednesday and Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The heat wave continues this week and the National Weather Service warns that the heat index — temperature combined with humidity — could hit 100 on Wednesday afternoon.

Also, a slow-moving front could bring strong thunderstorms, locally heavy rain and some flooding across southeast Pennsylvania on Wednesday and Thursday.
