Firefighter Day Set for Saturday

The Doylestown Fire Company will lead a parade through town to the YMCA for the community picnic that closes Doylestown Bicentennial week.

Join the volunteer men and women of the Doylestown Fire Company on Saturday for Firefighter Day.

As Doylestown's Bicentennial Week draws to a close, Saturday has been designated Firefighter Day, just as it was in 1912 when the borough celebrated 100 years of being the seat of Bucks County.

On Saturday, firefighters will assemble at the station on Shewell Avenue at 12:30 p.m. to recreate a group photo similar to one taken in 1912, which hangs on the fire house wall.
