Entertaining the Firefighters of Tomorrow

Doylestown volunteer firefighters read stories to kids at the Market at Del Val Thursday.

Volunteers from Doylestown Fire Company read stories to kids Thursday evening at the Market at Del Val on Lower State Rd.

The appearance was part of the summer reading program, Sponsored by the Market and Ellen Mager, of , the program has run on Thursday nights throughout the summer.

Firefighter Molly, accompanied by Doyle the Dalmation, read stories to about 25 children. The kids were given black plastic firefighter hats, as well as pencils, erasers, stickers and more.

They also were able to try on firefighter gear and sit inside one of the company's fire engines.
