I'm driving in; where should I park?

With stretches of downtown streets closed for the parade, and lots of visitors expected, parking will be at a premium. You could circle around, searching for a spot - or you could just park in the county parking garage at Broad and Union streets and walk a few blocks. It's not that far.

What time does the Doylestown Memorial Day Parade start?

The parade itself starts at 10 a.m. Parade participants are asked to assemble at CB West high school at 9 a.m. The parade is very popular, so you may want to arrive early to stake out a viewing spot.

What is the Doylestown Memorial Day Parade route?

After leaving CB West, the parade heads east on West Court Street and continues on West State Street, turning north on North Main Street then east on East Court Street. It finishes at Doylestown Cemetery.

Is the ceremony at Doylestown Cemetery open to the public?

Yes! The veterans groups that run the Memorial Day service in the Doylestown Cemetery after the parade encourage people to head into the cemetery and stay for the observance.

Are there other things to do in Doylestown before or after the parade?

Yep.

Stop by Salem United Church of Christ on the parade route from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the . Enjoy pancakes, (plain, chocolate chip or blueberry), pork or vegetarian sausage, orange juice, coffee, tea or milk, then find a place to watch the parade. The church also will be collecting non-perishable food items for local food pantries.

The Doylestown Masons also will offer a pancake breakfast at their hall at 55 E. State St. from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Enjoy a cup of coffee, juice, or milk, and pancakes, sausage and syrup, served by the Rainbow Girls and members of Doylestown Lodge No. 245.

The from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on May 28. Uniformed docents will take visitors on guided tours.

Celebrate Construction Day, the from noon to 4 p.m. with a special family event including hands-on activities, food vendors, live music and an open house of parts of Fonthill.
