He started blogging on Doylestown Patch shortly after the site launched in November 2010.

"I love the opportunity to blog because it allows me the outlet I haven't had since my days as a professional photojournalist - the ability to share the thoughts and stories that go with my photographs, in particular, the efforts of my fellow volunteer firefighters in the Central Bucks area and beyond," Browne said.

"I love photography, have since I started as a high school student, and love to write as well," he continued. "The opportunity that Patch presents for non-profit organizations to get their word out as they see fit without the limitations of newsprint or competition from other organizations is priceless, and has become an invaluable part of the fire company's ability to educate and inform the Doylestown community!"
