Doylestown Farmers Market Opens Saturday

The outdoor market is open Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon through mid-November.

The Doylestown Farmers Market opens for the season this Saturday.

In its 39th year, the outdoor market is held Saturdays on Hamilton Ave at W State Street from 7 a.m. to noon. It will be open weekly until mid-November.

Products for sale include produce, meats, eggs, milk, fresh baked breads and pastries, jams, pickles, organic olive oil, relishes, pickled vegetables, vinegars, local honey, coffee maple syrup and more.

Live entertainment, children's activities and chef demonstrations are often held during the market.

The Buckingham Civic Association started the farmers' market in 1973. For the first few years, it was held in Buckingham, but it was moved to Doylestown in 1976, to take advantage of the foot traffic in town.
