Each week in this space, we usually test your knowledge of Doylestown history and trivia with a photo to identify.

5. In 1871 a milliner and a cobbler conducted their business next door to each other. In 1902 the buildings where they worked combined for my current purpose. Now my front porch is a good place to rock the time away with a pretzel or ice cream. What am I?

6. If you were Head Over Heels about reading in 1910, where would be the place to go?

1. I originated in 1812 again in 1877 and 1960 but now I feel I just don't fit in! Gotta go! What am I?

2. Until May 1985 the "Pine Street Hotel" provided free room and board, but no one really wanted to stay there. Now it expands our minds to the beauty of Bucks County and the world. What was I?

3. What Doylestown achievement of great importance in industrial art was patented in 1903? Hint: There are 2 at the Doylestown Library lobby.

4. Doylestown's oldest house of worship has its founder buried there. What is the name of his wife listed on the tombstone?

Fill in your answers on the entry form on the Doylestown Bicentennial website, www.doylestownbicentennial.org or attached above.  You must print the entry form to submit it.

When you have answered all 10 clues, the answers may be mailed or dropped off at , 57 West Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Include your name, address and phone number.

Prizes will be awarded to winners selected at random from the winning entries at the bicentennial picnic on Saturday, June 2, at 3:30 p.m. at the .

The Doylestown Detective history hunt is part of the Doylestown Bicentennial Celebration. The week of events kicks off Memorial Day, May 28, 2012 and marks the 200th anniversary of Doylestown becoming the county seat of Bucks County.

Planned events include an art exhibit, moustache contest, antique car show, cemetery tours, walking tours of Doylestown, tours of James-Lorah House, musical performances, a community picnic and so much more.
