Bux-Mont Hurricane Sandy Clean-up Team Meets Today

More than 100 volunteers are meeting in Doylestown at 7 a.m. to spend the day helping others recover from Hurricane Sandy.

All systems are go for a grass-roots, social media-organized day of volunteerism in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

The Bux-Mont Hurricane Sandy Clean-up Team formed quickly this week on Facebook, spearheaded by Chalfont resident Paul Dziewisz.

After a few hasty planning meetings, and plenty of time spent fielding emails and phone calls, the group's weekend plans have come together.

Key amongst the directives is that volunteers will not take on any project that involves electricity, nor will they get in the way of utility or municipal crews.

Dziewisz can be reached at 267-626-7478 or by email at pdziewisz@gmail.com if you want to volunteer or know someone who needs assistance.
