3. If your kids are crazy about dinosaurs, give them a real treat. Head over to the County Theater tonight to - again, or for the first time. Showtime starts at 7 p.m.

5. In today's world, many of us take for granted a college education. But before the 1940s, it was reserved only for the elite. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt changed all that on this day in 1944 when he signed the G.I. Bill. It extended a range of benefits to veterans, including access to money for college. Within a few years, the number of Americans graduating from college more than tripled. "The G.I. Bill became one of the major forces that drove an economic expansion in America that lasted 30 years after World War II," according to History.com.
