Central Bucks Gymnastics shine against rival Berks Academy

Reading, PA. – Jan 11-12, 2013 – CB Gymnastics traveled to Reading, PA to compete against rival Berks Gymnastics Academy and other local teams for the first Eastern States Gymnastic Association Meet of the year.

Girls age seven to eighteen Competed in Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor at the first of four ESGA Meets on the schedule for 2014.

  

The level 9 Girls had a strong showing at the Meet winning the Beam and Floor events in the Team Challenge.   Emma Mangiacapre placed first in Beam (9.275) and first in Floor (9.350). Her All Around score of 36.375 was enough to place first in the 13 and under division. Melissa Ginaldi placed first in Beam (9.3) and second in Floor (9.1) to earn second place in the All Around for the 14-year-old division. Her teammate Arden Hudson put together a solid Uneven Bars routine placing first with a 9.425.   15-year-old Mackenzie Kelly placed first in Vault (9.2) and first on the Uneven Bars (9.175) to earn the All Around title in her division.

18-year-old Rebecca McKevitt led the Level 10 group placing first in Beam with a score of a 9.550 and a first place finish in Floor with a 9.175.  17-year-old Roxanne Trachtenberg placed second on Beam with a 9.325.  Valerie Rube placed fourth in the All Around with a 34.125

The Level 8's also shined at the ESGA team challenge.  Megan Lengel (Age 12 & under) placed 4th on bars with a 9.175, 4th on floor with a 9.225 and 5th in the all around with a 34.150.  In the Age 13 group Emily Engeland placed 3rd on bars with a 9.075 and 4th on beam with a 9.125.  Lindsay Miscio was the beam champion for this age group with a score of 9.50.  In the 14 and over age group Gabriella Oliveira placed 4th on vault with an 8.675, 4th on beam with an 8.575 and 5th on floor with an 8.875.  Francesca Gilch placed 5th on vault with an 8.325, 4th on bars with an 8.10, 4th on floor with an 8.85 and 5th in the all around with a 33.275.  Emma Severn also placed 5th on vault with an 8.50.

At Level 7,  Isabella Guida placed first on bars with a 9.275 and finished second all around with a 35.175 in the 13 year old age division. Juliette Hopkins finished in 3rd place in the All around with a 34.725 for the 13-year-old age division. 

At level 5, Allie Rogers a member of the 13 & up group captured the All-Around.  She finished first on vault along with 2nd place finishes on bars and beam.  Allison Troth placed in all 4 events, and took 4th place all around for the 10 and under group.

In level 4.  Audrey Hitchens placed third on floor with a 9.3, Jada Beach placed 5th on bars with a 9.1 and Katherine Montabana finished 5th on vault with an 8.925

CB Gymnastics will compete in more than twenty meets across levels 4 through 10 from December to May.

CB Gymnastics next meet is scheduled for February 1-2  at AJS Pancott in West Chester, PA
