Two Conservative Heroes come to Doylestown

This week two conservative heroes were in Doylestown.  On Friday Night, James O’Keefe, best known for exposing the organization Acorn for gross fraud was at the Kitchen Table Patriots Fall Fundraiser. Tuesday Night, Newt and Callista Gingrich were at the Doylestown Book Store signing Callista’s book for children, Land Of Pilgrims Pride.

Friday Night James OKeefe had people in stiches, as he described how he was able to force the media to address the corruption in some of their most beloved institutions, Acorn, Planned Parenthood, NPR to name a few.  It was very entertaining and informative.  He showed clips of the Medias reactions and some of them were priceless.  The best was John Stewart’s monolog about O’Keefe.  James talked about the media bias that exists and how we can overcome it by becoming our own citizen journalist. It is our duty to get the truth out.  Some stories that don’t fit the narrative that the media wants to cover, we need to blog, tweet and FB.  Technology is our friend and conservatives need to step up their game. He also signed his book, Breakthrough, about his life of exposing fraud and the struggles and troubles this has brought to his life. The book reads like a suspense government thriller, but it is a true story.

Newt and Callista were welcoming at the book signing.  They took time with each patron and conversed with each person.  They aloud time for pictures.  I spoke to Callista about coming back to Doylestown this spring for a Conservative woman’s brunch and she agreed.  Date in the works.  She said, “I love coming to Doylestown.”  Tonight I read Land Of Pilgrims Pride to my son James, and he loved it.  It was at his level and rhymed, which all kids like.  There is also a find the eagle on each page which he loved.
