Rare Silent Shorts at the County: Wednesday in Doylestown

Here's a look at what's happening in Doylestown on Wednesday, Sept. 18:

  • The County Theater will screen a series of rare silent shorts at 7:30 p.m. The collection will feature Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Georges Melies, the cartoons of Felix the Cat and Koko the Clown, as well as a rare Charlie Chase short. Click here for details. The cost is $5 for members, $9.75 for nonmembers. 
  • Doylestown Borough's Zoning Hearing Board will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Click here to view the agenda. 
  • It's Wednesday, which means Menchie's Frozen Yogurt in Warminster is donating 10 percent of sales to Operation Birthday Box, Bucks Cty SPCA and Bucks County Housing Group.
  • Also Wednesday, Chick-fil-A in Warrington is donating to four community organizations. Customers can choose which of the following organizations should receive a percentage of sales: The Alzheimer’s Association, Conquer Chiari (a neurological disorder), Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk.
