Lights Go On at Peddler's Village, 50th Anniversary of JFK's Assassination

A look at the day ahead in Doylestown.

Here's a look at what's going on in Doylestown on Friday, Dec. 22:

  • Peddler's Village will illuminate its Christmas light show Friday, plus Santa will be there to greet the children. The lights go on at 6:15 p.m. 
  • It is the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.  According to NBC News, nearly two-thirds of Americans still believe that a conspiracy was responsible for the president's death. Here are the six most common conspiracy theories, according to USA Today.
  • Two new movies start at the County Theater. "Dallas Buyers Club" and "12 Years a Slave" start Friday. Click here for showtimes. 
  • The Tubby Olive, 6 W State St., is celebrating its grand opening from noon to 6 p.m. There will be food tastings, door prizes and special savings.
  • It's movie night at the Central Bucks Family YMCA. "Man of Steel" will be shown at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 for members, $10 for nonmembers.
