Buddy (Will Ferrell) is not your usual elf. He towers over his elven comrades, and only makes 17 etch-a-sketches a day instead of the nominal 250. When he is told that his real father is a human living in New York he sets off on an adventure to find him. But his true father isn’t inclined to bring him into his life. Buddy seems a little mad to his new family, but his christmas cheer may turn them, and New York, around. Rated PG. Made in 2003. Runs 1 hr, 37 min.
