The Nourished Community of Brad's Raw Foods and Natural Awakenings magazine of Bucks and Montgomery counties have collaborated to present a Healthy Living, Holiday Giving event from 5 to 7 p.m., December 7. Twenty local merchants and artists that are eco-conscious and promote healthy living will offer their unique products and gift certificates for purchase. Wellness professionals will share techniques to make the holiday season as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.          

A $10 entrance fee will be donated to Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.), a nonprofit that distributes new clothing, shoes, toys, books and juvenile products to children and families challenged by poverty, homelessness, domestic abuse, illiteracy, military family service, major illness, incarceration of family members and disaster survival. Upon paid admission, shoppers will receive a reusable goody bag filled with offers from local businesses as well as a glass to sample a new Raw Wine from Brad's Raw Foods. Other fundraising activities for K.I.D.S. include a raffle and silent auction and vendor contributions of a portion of the evening's sales.
