Monday morning's commute could be messy, according to the latest weather forecast.

The National Weather Service on Sunday issued a winter weather advisory for the Doylestown area for Monday morning. The advisory runs from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Light snow is expected to begin during the morning commute, the weather service said. It will change over to a mixture of sleet and freezing rain by late morning. In the afternoon, it should change over to rain.

The storm could bring snow accumulation of up to 1 inch, with a trace of ice, the forecast predicted.

"The combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain will lead to hazardous travel on Monday," the weather service said. "Many surfaces may become icy, especially untreated and elevated surfaces."

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s.

The Weather Channel has named this winter storm "Luna," not as evocative, perhaps, as last week's storm "Khan." No doubt the name will resonate with Harry Potter fans, but the Weather Channel says Luna was named "for the divine embodiment of the moon in Roman mythology."
