West's Jastrzebski Wins Regional Wrestling Title
He now heads to Hershey and the state tournament along with fellow senior Seth Ehlo.
Chris Jastrzebski and Seth Ehlo are headed to Hershey.
The two CB West seniors placed first and second in their respective weight classes at Saturday night's PIAA Class AAA Southeast Regional Tournament.
Ehlo (152 pounds) will make his second trip to the state tournament in three seasons. Two years ago, Ehlo placed eighth in Hershey. In Saturday morning's semi-finals, Ehlo tied his own school record for wins in a season by claiming his 38th victory.
At 34-0, Jastrzebski (182 pounds) is the only undefeated wrestler from the Southeast Region going to the PIAA state tournament.
Drew Markol, sportswriter for The Intelligencer, reports that Jastrzebski became the first Buck to win a regional title since 1999.
Jastrzebski also was named Outstanding Wrestler Saturday night.
