Volunteers used ladders, drills and community spirit to decorate downtown Doylestown on Saturday.

Cheer up, fans of sunshine and sangria.

When Doylestown's winter snowflake decorations come down, spring can't be too far away.

But those snowflakes didn't hang themselves and they won't come down by themselves, either.

The Doylestown Business and Community Alliance is looking for volunteers to help take down the decorations on Saturday, Feb. 9.

If you can help, meet at State and Main, in front of the downtown Starbucks, at 9 a.m.

The easiest way to take down the snowflakes, according to the DBCA, is with an electric drill with a 8mm socket with extension. An electric screwdriver or flat head screwdriver also will work. Volunteers should bring either tool with them on Saturday.

Volunteers also will need a 6 foot ladder, though extra ladders will be on hand if needed.

The DBCA also is looking for a crew of six people to help at the borough public works yard on Harvey Avenue at 10 a.m. to put the snowflakes into the group's storage trailer.

Coffee and donuts will be provided for volunteers.

If you can help out, or lend a ladder or electric drill, call or email the DBCA office at (215) 340-9988 or info@doylestownalliance.org.
