Two Charged with DUI

Plus, a Warrington man is accused of stealing from Redner's.

 

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol and related charges

On Jan. 30 at 4:55 p.m., a driver was reported to be driving erratically on Route 611. The driver, Robert J. Smith III, 38, of Upper Black Eddy, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him and an open can of beer in the center console.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and provided blood samples for testing. The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Jan. 31.

Retail Theft

On Feb. 3 at 4:45 p.m., the department was called to Redner’s Market, 1661 Easton Road for a report of retail theft. Investigation determined that Timothy Campbell, 27, of Warrington, had removed items valued at $10.58.

The above charge was filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Feb. 6.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol

On Feb. 5 at 3:50 a.m., a vehicle was observed traveling on Lower State Road swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Brian McKenney, 25, of Newtown, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and provided blood samples for testing.

The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Feb. 6.
