Spaghetti Dinner to Benefit Doylestown Legion
The annual spaghetti dinner is an important fundraiser for the Doylestown American Legion post.
For decades, the Doylestown American Legion has sponsored community events from the Easter Egg Hunt to Legion baseball to scholarships for high school students.
Now, it's time to refill the coffers so those programs can continue.
A spaghetti dinner will be held at the Legion hall on North Street on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m., or until sold out.
The menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, sausage, garlic bread and dessert; coffee, tea and milk also will be available.
Adults $8; children 6-12 $4; children under 6 are free. Takeout is $8 a plate.
It's one of the organization's most import fundraisers.
Other upcoming fundraisers include a ham raffle and a pancake breakfast.
Legion vets will sell tickets for a ham raffle at the state liquor store at 132 Veterans Lane on March 15 and 16 and 22 and 23.
The pancake breakfast will be held Sunday, April 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Legion's home at 315 North Street in Doylestown.
Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea will be served. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 4-12.
Also, mark your calendars for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of Fonthill on March 23 at 1 p.m.
