Signs Damaged at Starbucks

The signs were removed from their locations.

Two signs posted on the outside wall of a downtown Doylestown landmark were damaged last weekend, Doylestown Borough Police said Thursday.

The two parking signs had been posted on the exterior wall of , police said. They were damaged sometime between 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 and 7:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, according to police reports.

Police said one sign was removed from its post and the second sign was partially pulled off the wall.

Criminal Mischief

A stop sign at the intersection of Mary and Franklin Streets was noted to have graffiti on it on Friday, Oct. 14.

Graffiti was written in black marker.

Public Drunkenness

Anthony Vernieri, 29, Elgar Place, Bronx, NY was cited on Friday, Oct. 14 at approximately 6:45 p.m. after a driver for Trans Bridge Bus services reported an intoxicated male sleeping on the bus.

Disorderly Conduct

Citations have been filed against Tiffany Gregory, 29, Worthington Road, Doylestown, for allegedly striking a female in the face and pulling the female’s hair during an altercation in front of a S. Main Street bar on Saturday, Oct. 15 at approximately 12:47 a.m.

Theft

Maria Dangelo, 30, Marienstein Road, Upper Black Eddy, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 15 at approximately 10:50 a.m. after she allegedly attempted to remove several items from without attempting to pay for them.

The items, including batteries, dog treats, and diet supplements, were valued at $72.76. 

Assault

Officers are investigating the report of an assault that occurred on Sunday, Oct. 16 at approximately 2:25 a.m. in front of a S. Main Street bar.

Witnesses reported that two females were engaged in a fight. A male attempted to break up the fight, and he was struck in the head from behind, rendering him unconscious.

The suspect is described as a male approximately 6’2” in height, weighing approximately 260 pounds, with a shaved head.

Criminal Mischief

Someone threw a piece of concrete through a large pane window at the men’s store sometime between the close of business on Saturday, Oct. 15 and 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 16.

The interior window pane remained intact, and no entry was made into the business.

No estimate for the damage was reported.

Ordinance Violation

Matthew Duncan, 18, Chubb Drive, Doylestown, was cited on Monday, Oct. 17 at approximately 12:55 a.m. after an officer observed him skateboarding on Clinton Street in the area of Decatur Street. 

Duncan had been cited in the past for the same violation.

Forgery

Charges have been filed against Diane Leaf, 49, Girard Street, Croydon, for allegedly cashing a check that she had stolen from an acquaintance, making the check payable to herself, and forging the owner’s signature.

The check was in the amount of $140.

The incident occurred at a S. Main Street bank on Monday, Oct. 17 at approximately 9:58 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence

Christopher Sandstrom, 27, Geranium Drive, Warrington, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 20 at about 1:43 a.m. after he was observed traveling above the posted speed limit on S. Main Street in the area of Clemens Road.

During the traffic stop, Sandstrom was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Sandstrom was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood tests.
