These teams did an amazing job faced by very difficult situations. Nothing is perfect and this was a very bad storm. I was for one without power for over 5 days, but we managed as we had advanced warning too. Next Step is for the utilities to review the response, problem areas, and provide plans and resources to improve what can be improved. Thank you to the men and women who are still working hard to restore power to us.

Joe, what street do you live on, in which municipality? I don't get many straight answers, either, but I'll try to find out whatever I can.

100 + years behind in terms of technology. These workers do a good job, it is the technology that is antiquated. Bring on the 21 century, and get us out the 19th century. It's bad enough we skipped the 20th century in terms of new energy.

Utilities are highly regulated by the government, like hospitals. With less regulation the utility companies could employ more people on the front line to service customer needs, instead of in a back office to satisfy some stupid bureaucrat. PECO did the best it could with what it had. Oh, and what about the moron's who rejected help from the South because they were non-Union? We got the storm response what we deserved.

Your choices for possible poll answers are ridiculous. Let's get real here.

Peco and our elected officials completely dropped the ball.

Almost all of our elected officials left us to fend for ourselves, rather than be involved and attempt to get the answers we all needed. Where was the communication? Who was in charge of the escalation procedures? For that matter, who manages the procedures while in crisis, on behalf of the tax payers?

Peco chose to sit back and leave the heavy lifting & fixing to the out of state energy contractors. The pictures associated with this thread are right on! Out of state contracors were tasked with handling the majority of the fixes in our state, while Peco sat back, added a bunch of red tape to the process, manipulated the schedule and lied to the general public about when the service would be back online. The 800 # was full of bull shit answers for 7 days in a row! Yes, the situation for many was dire. Communication was lacking and answers were few and far between.

I could write a book...Can't wait for the meeting wrap on this fiasco. Total debacle, on all fronts!

Next time you ask a "polling" question, you should offer real life answers, rather than the lollipop possibilities mentioned above. What a joke. Keep it real Patch! Rd.
