Six area nonprofit groups recently were honored at a reception.

A local business networking group recently honored area nonprofits with a donation from the organization

Doylestown-based Network Now celebrated the group's newest members and its non-profit partners at a reception at TruBeauty Concepts in Southampton.

Jamie Broderick, founder and leader of Network Now, presented a check to five organizations including Makefield Women's Association, Be the Life of the Party, The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation, HeARTs Wellness, and Bucks County Housing Group. In lieu of a monetary donation, Impact Thrift Stores was presented with items donated by attendees that could be sold in Impact’s stores.

"It is a privilege to be part of such a caring and supportive network of business women and organizations working to make the world a better place for all of us," Broderick said in a statement Monday. "Our members truly care about each other and about helping one another succeed."
