The CB South marching band has done it again.

The Marching Titans took the state championship for the second year in a row recently, then went on to capture second place in a national competition.

Their performance at the US Bands National Competition in Annapolis, MD, earned the Titans the highest score the band ever has received, a 95.475.

That was good enough to clinch the silver medal in the competition, which was held on Nov. 10.

The 96-member strong Central Bucks South marching band bested a field of more than a dozen other competitors to take home the second place award. They also won a special award as the top percussion section of the competition.

The week before, the Marching Titans became the state champions for their division for the second year in a row, taking the title in competition at the USBands Pennsylvania State Championship at West Chester University on Nov. 3.

Michael S. Robinson is music director of Central Bucks South. Drum Majors Senior Toland Kister and Junior DJ Balsham lead the band which includes 69 musicians and 25 members of the color guard.
