Gas Prices Down 3.5 Cents

Find the cheapest gas in Doylestown.

The average price of self-serve regular in Pennsylvania dropped nearly 4 cents since last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In Bucks and Montgomery counties, the average price is $3.601 per gallon. That is 3.5 cents lower than a week ago and 9.7 cents lower than a month ago, but 24.7 cents higher than a year ago.

While national retail gas prices have dropped each day during the past week, crude oil prices have increased slightly, as market attention has focused on the impact of the looming U.S. fiscal cliff, the report states. Though gas prices usually decline this time of year, the economic uncertainty has slowed that decline.

Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.46 at the Liberty stations on North Main Street and West State Street.
