Firefighters Called to Building Site

No one was injured when part of a building under construction in Buckingham collapsed this weekend.

Lingohocken Fire Co. was called to this building site on York Road in Buckingham on Saturday where they found part of the building had collapsed.

No one apparently was injured when part of a building under construction in Buckingham collapsed over the weekend.

It happened on Heritage Center Drive off of York Road in Buckingham Township, near the Temple Fox Chase Buckingham Cancer Center, according to responding firefighters.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Bucks County Radio asked firefighters to investigate a possible building collapse that had occurred during the overnight hours. 

Lingohocken Fire Co. Chief Greg Jakubowski arrived at the scene to find a portion of Building 600 that was under construction in the business center there had collapsed.

Jakubowski said there were no apparent injuries.

The Buckingham Township building official/fire marshal and the property owner were notified, and the area was secured with a construction fence.
