Fire Destroys Doylestown Township Home

Firefighters battled a fierce blaze Friday morning.

No one was injured but a Doylestown Township home was left a charred ruin after a fire broke out Friday morning.

The fire started about 8:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Gatehouse Circle in the Charing Cross neighborhood in Doylestown Township, off of Old Dublin Pike.

The Doylestown Fire Company responded, as did crews from nearby Midway, Chalfont, Dublin, Plumsteadville and Warrington.

By 8:30 a.m., a second alarm had been struck, requesting more help.

According to emergency reports, firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by about 10 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
