Fire Breaks Out at Salvage Direct
Crew were still on the scene early Thursday morning.
Volunteers from the Doylestown Fire Company were among area firefighters battling a large blaze Wednesday night on Bristol Road.
The fire broke out around 10 p.m. at the Salvage Direct building, at 77 Bristol Rd., on the border between Chalfont and New Britain boroughs.
The firefighters were able to get the fire under control, but remained on scene investigating for hours. They were still there shortly after midnight.
No one was reportedly was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire still was under investigation early Thursday. Chalfont Fire Co. was the lead company handling the blaze.
Neighbors told Patch they heard multiple sirens for the large fire between 10 and 11 p.m. Wednesday.
