Family Films Return to The County

Doylestown's independent movie theater is once again offering family fare during Saturday matinees.

The County Theater has long been a destination for art house films and unique movies geared toward adults.

But the theater on Doylestown's East State Street also caters to kids, in the form of its Saturday matinees.

Now through April, you can bring the kids to see a favorite movie, both classics and new releases, for just $4 each. Or become a member of the theater and attend for free.

Besides the movie, the theater often plans fun events to coincide with each showing, and encourages kids and adults to dress in costume to go along with the movie. Decorations and special snacks complete the fun.

The kids' movie program runs through the end of April. Shows start at 10:30 a.m.
