Doylestown Police Report Alcohol, Drug Citations
Doylestown Borough Police on Thursday reported several alcohol- or drug-related incidents.
Doylestown Borough Police on Thursday reported several recent alcohol- or drug-related citations handed out recently.
Officers cited four people for driving under the influence, one after allegedly driving the wrong way down East State Street, a second after allegedly driving erratically on Route 202.
A third was cited with DUI and drug possession after police said they found him allegedly intoxicated and smoking pot in a parked car near the Mercer Museum at nearly 3 a.m. The fourth allegedly failed to stop his vehicle at the stop sign at Court and Hamilton Streets.
Police also cited three people for public drunkenness, one after allegedly staggering in Wawa, the second after allegedly sleeping in the doorway of Doylestown Bookshop, and the third, after allegedly hitting an employee of M.O.M.'s.
A West Chester man also was arrested after police allegedly spotted him smoking marijuana in a parked car near Broad and Court streets.

Clumsy people beware, this is a no-staggering town. Definitely no tripping either. And if you have the nerve to slip, fall or lose your balance, you'll be feeding the fine-machine of Doylestown borough. Gotta keep those coppers pensions up. If the guy was getting into a car to drive, I could understand of course.

It's a permanent "walk a straight line" test around here, eh? That's normally reserved for DUI's, but it's applied generally, I see.

Perhaps D'town stands - up? down? - for "Drunk Town" - - - way too many bars! Not enough excellent restaurants. Perhaps 2 . . . at most!
