Doylestown Parks Go Smoke-Free

The Borough joins the Township in banning smoking in municipal parks.

Notice to smokers: lighting up is now banned in all public parks in Doylestown Borough.

Borough Council voted unanimously earlier this week to ban smoking in its parks. The vote came after town leaders advertised a new ordinance amending Doylestown's parks ordinance.

New signs will be posted in the parks alerting the public that smoking is no longer allowed. The signs were donated to the borough by the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, a leading regional substance abuse and prevention agency based in Doylestown.
