Buckingham police handed out information about recent changes to the state's seatbelt laws.
Buckingham Township police recently conducted a seatbelt compliance checkpoint at Central Bucks High School East at the end of the school day.
During the operation on Friday, Feb. 24, officers handed out information on recent changes in the seatbelt laws that specifically affect junior drivers and passengers under the age of 18.
This detail will be followed at a later date by a second checkpoint that will target enforcement of these regulations, police said.
These details are sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as part of their Buckle Up PA program.
The members of the Buckingham Township police department encourage all drivers to buckle up as wearing your seatbelt can save your life.
