Pam Carroll Elected to Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors
December 19, 2012, Hilltown, Bucks County, Pa – Pearl S. Buck International’s marketing director, Pam Carroll was recently elected to the Bucks County Conference and Visitor Bureau’s Board of Directors. Ms. Carroll begins a 4-year term in January 2013 for Visit Bucks County, the official tourist promotion agency for Bucks County.
“It is an honor to join the Board of an organization that celebrates the County’s history and advances the County’s future by drawing visitors to its diverse attractions, shops, restaurants and rich historic sites,” Ms. Carroll said. “I look forward to representing the Pearl S. Buck House on the Board.”
Pam Carroll’s qualifications for the Board of Directors are anchored in her keen understanding of marketing strategies and wealth of experience in building brands, coupled with her enthusiasm for showcasing Bucks County’s hidden treasures, such as the Pearl S. Buck House.
A strategic marketing specialist for over two decades, Pam brought her marketing messaging expertise to promote the Pearl S. Buck House in 2011, having honed hospitality, and event marketing by serving clients including retailers, wineries and event planners as owner of Carroll Consulting Group.
In her role as Marketing Director at Pearl S. Buck International, Pam advances the Pearl S. Buck International brand by promoting the organization’s mission of building a global community through child sponsorship, child adoption and community programs at the Pearl S. Buck House.
As a member of the senior management team, Pam participates in the program committees of the Board of Directors and takes a leadership role in communicating marketing strategies to the Board at the quarterly meetings. Her past leadership experience also includes community work as President of the Bucks County Women’s Business Forum’s Board; consulting for the Bucks County Women’s Fund’s leadership to develop strategies to launch a Speakers Bureau; and public relations work to advance the capital campaign for the Warwick Fire Dept.
